6:00 PM UPDATE ON EMERALD

So far, so good.  Emy is feeding her babies well.  Just hasn't figured out the diaper duty part.  I am stimulating them every feeding.  Pat took over day duty, so I was able to get a few hours sleep this afternoon.  Little guys have filled out tummies, so I think they have a good chance of surviving.  Talk to you tomorrow.

EMERALD REQUIRES EMERGENCY C SECTION

EMERALD had an emergency C Section yesterday. Was carrying 3: have 2 wee ones to raise ... vet says 1 male & 1 female. Emy is feeding them well, but refuses to do diaper duty. Guess who is now wiping their bums for them ??? Grandma Me.

And, THAT my friends, is "Life In The Fast Lane" here in Copenhagen, On.

When Pat wakes up, he relieves me and starts the day shift. I then sleep until about noon. As of 3:24 PM Tuesday, still nothing. She is just so darn contented. Loving all the attention.

NO BABIES. NO SLEEP. YAWN.

EMERALD & I SLEPT IN MY LAZYBOY

So, this is where Emy and I cuddled together

all night long.  She was restless and constantly

changing position, but no signs of productive labour.

She did get some restful sleep.

I, on the other hand, came to the alert when her

tummy so much as twitched.  Her babies were quite

active at times, and felt like little feathers tickling

my legs.  I am so privileged to be sharing this event.

New Life is so exciting!!!

Very excited to see what this girl has.  She is so gorgeous.

She is bred to another seal bicolour, so kittens will have tons of white.

BABYDOLL'S BABIES SURPRISED US!

These little kittens never quit with the surprises.

I reported earlier that we had 3 boys and 2 girls.

NOPE!!!  1 Boy and 4 Girls.

Those must have been the kittens that Denise sexed!

Just kidding.  I looked too.

Crazy how much they can change in two days.
